Passive Risk and Future Proofing

Power point.jpg
"The frequency and severity of high risk and highly disruptive events are increasing.
Future proofing begins with testing our behavioural assumptions about the 'knowns' and 'unknowns' .

Ask different questions, consider multiple perspectives, take a systemic view".

The overwhelming majority of risks in organisations are what we call Passive Risks – the risks and weaknesses in small business systems that never get fixed. For example, in the flaws in decision making, stakeholder engagement, and project planning that are overlooked; and the assumptions about how the business works that go untested.

Passive Risk is both pervasive in business life and costly.

Futureproofing enables organisations to improve their capability to address Passive Risk with a structured and focused approach.

The Passive Risk and Future Proofing program is conducted in three stages:

Stage One Diagnosis and Solution
Learn the Pre Mortem method - at project planning and pre launch
Learn the Lessons Learned method – at critical milestones & closure

Learn the Stop & Solve method - problem solve at any time.

Stage Two Innovation Networks

Building on Session One, design networks for problem solving and risk solutions across the organisation.

Stage Three Learn and Embed

Building on Sessions One and Two, design learning and sharing models using analytical tools and techniques.
